Unfortunately, downloading this album has now made me GAY! How am I going to break this to the wife and kids! God, that Chad is soooooooooooooooooo hottttttttttttttttttttttttttttt!!!!!!!!!

First half of the album is pretty strong but it fades towards the end. They are a meat and potatoes band, no surprises but they give fans what they want. Some good solos too. A lot of their songs sound very similar though. Posted on November 16th, at pm. Its one of those hear it once and wont listen to it again albums and then switch back to listening to burn halo. I recommend this for girls sounds like its intended for them. Thank you…one of my favorite bands.

Been waiting for this one. Loved the single from the album. Quit the name calling all you motherfuckers. Posted on November 17th, at am. When I want complexity, I seek it out. When I want dumb energy, I go popular. I like John Zorn. I like Buckethead. I like Cab Calloway. Opinions generally stink and all you rabid pseudo-critics need to consider suicide.

Their first album consisted only of covers of Metallica and Led Zeppelin songs, not releasing their first full album until , titled Curb. Their first full-length album showed enough promise that it got them signed to their first record label. The State was their first album released until the new label, and soared on the charts, selling millions. It was after that album that the band worked on and released the infamous song "How You Remind Me.

It was everything a hit song should have, and that's why it performed so well. It's also the song that was played relentlessly on the radio, to the annoyance of anyone who once loved the hit. If you've listened to none of their discography, you probably have heard one of these two songs at least a handful of times. But then so are a few other tracks, including a song in "Bottoms Up" that happens to match that riff-forward approach with a chorus that sticks and stays in the head, whether you want it to or not. Much of the overt pop-oriented material at a minimum gets the job done, albeit with less consistency.

For a song that seems as though it's been written many times in the past by any number of pop rock bands, "Lullaby" still manages to reel in the listener. Another in a long line of surefire hits is the borderline danceable "We Stand Together" The ballad-esque "Trying Not To Love You" doesn't fare quite as well; its sappiness overpowering the melodic appeal.
